The Arrogant Frog — Worth A Kiss

A few years ago I introduced readers of The Grape Belt to the wines of Domaine Paul Mas from the Languedoc region in southern France, extolling their impressive combination of quality and low prices. (https://thegrapebelt.com/2016/07/20/head-to-the-south-of-france/) Well, we’re back again with a look at a few more of their wines, this time under the whimsical label, The […]

One of these people is about to turn 30. If you're wondering, this picture was taken in 1995. Happy Birthday, Meghan Kieran Riley! You are, despite your youth, one of the all-time greats. May you continue to prosper, thrive, excel, and grow into your special giftedness. We love you!
Just wanted to throw a little family pride around for a minute. My son-in-law came up with what is easily one of the most thoughtful, creative, and funniest Christmas gifts ever. Some of my former students might get a little PTSD from the second photo. Just remember, they are always in effect. 😂 UPDATE: I forgot to mention that he and my daughter had on these shirts under the regular "open presents clothing" and pulled up their sweaters once I opened my gift. The laughter from us all nearly broke our living room windows. Beyond perfect!
Happiest 31st to the 24 year old peddler on the right. So proud of the places she's been and the things she's done. Cannot wait to see what's next. Cheers, Katie!
Fascinated by history? Love language? Well, grab a pencil and get ready to put this upcoming, sure-to-be-a-classic on your wish list. It will be a few years but you know the old saying, "what's worth having is worth waiting for." Terrific article for all lovers of history and language. I've already made room in my bookcase. I encourage you to do the same. #Blackhistory #Blacklanguage #Americanhistory #Americanlanguage #AfricanAmericans #skipgates #Oxford #requiredreading #lifelonglearning
